Can you seal mason jars with the USVX?Updated 2 years ago

Yes! You can seal mason jars that fit in the USVX chamber, or by using external accessories.

How to Vacuum Seal Mason Jars in the USVX Chamber:

1. Plug in power cord.
2. Press the ON/OFF switch to turn on power.
3. Fill up mason jar with contents, place flat lid, and put on lid ring loosely. 
4. Stand up or lay on side in chamber.
5. Close lid and set vacuum level to 1.
6. Press 'AUTO VAC & SEAL' button. 
7. Remove jar from sealer and tighten lid ring.

Note: Pint mason jars or smaller will fit in the chamber of the USVX.

If you want to vacuum seal larger mason jars, the Avid Armor 3-Piece Canister Set will vacuum seal up to a wide-mouth quart size mason jar inside (not regular mouth quart jars as they are too tall).

You can also use the Magic Vac Wide-Mouth Mason Jar Hoods with the 'ACCESSORY' function.

To engage the 'ACCESSORY' function on the USVX, hold down the 'AUTO VAC & SEAL' button for 2  seconds.
