The reason the sealer stopped pulling a vacuum is because the A420 foam lid gaskets can become compressed. We suggest pulling out the foam gaskets and then placing them back in to 'fluff' them up a bit and give life back to them.
Ensure that the seal pad is installed in the lid channel correctly. If not, this would be the reason your A420 is not properly sealing. The bag needs to be pressed between the seal pad and the seal bar in order to make a seal.
To improve the vacuum sealing process and reduce the amount of air in the bag, ensure that you have enough headspace, double-check the bag for any leaks or damage, make sure the food is dry, and arrange it in a way that minimizes gaps.
