Why is my pouch blowing up and coming away from the seal bar?Updated a year ago

The pouch is most likely being pinched off during the vacuum cycle. Check and make sure the heat seal bar is in the lowered position by pressing down on it before you run the cycle. If the seal bar is in a raised position, it will press against the seal pad on the lid causing the pouch to be pinched off prematurely. 

If the seal bar is stuck in the raised position due to one or both of the gold pistons underneath, we recommend removing the seal bar and wiping down the pistons and lubricating them with WD-40 or a similar-type lubricant.
